In conjunction with the celebration of Berjaya’s Founder’s Day last Saturday (26th February 2011), a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project was carried out at Berjaya Times Square from 11am to 7pm. Themed “Building Communities, Enriching Lives”, this exciting project aims to engage “community partners” (made up of the general public, local celebrities, non-governmental organizations, and Berjaya’s staff and business associates including SEATRU) to work together to promote volunteerism, the spirit of giving back to society, and a higher awareness of issues affecting our society.  The inaugural Berjaya Founder’s Day charity carnival was a resounding success, and culminated in RM3 million being raised for 28 charitable organisations.
